Game Recap

TROJANS SHOOT DOWN HAWKS. Clarenceville’s Zack Richards coming off a loss from a week ago, threw a 1 hitter against Huron Valley Lutheran for the Trojans 1st win of the young season. Richards only needed 63 pitches over 5 innings and struck out nine and only walked one. “Zack threw a lot of strikes and got ahead in the count all game” said Head Coach Craig Cotter. “I like the way he went right after guys and did not back off, he did a great job of hitting his spots”, said Cotter. Offensively the Trojans were led by Junior DeMond Scrutchions, (2 hits, 2 RBI’s and 3 runs) Junior Nick Bisaro (2 doubles and 2 RBI’s) and Senior Justin Kelley who had a monster 2 out 2 RBI double to blow the game open in the 4th to put the Trojans up 8 to 0. “Our top 3 hitters in the lineup went 5 for 8 with 6 RBI’s, can’t ask for any better than that” Cotter commented. Other Trojans chipping in with hits were Richards, Bobby Jaber, Kam MacIver, and David Means The Trojans are home again on Thursday April 13th at 4:30 against New Boston Huron.
