TROJANS WIN DIVISION SHUTOUT BULLDOGS 15-0. Clarenceville won its first league title since 1982, capturing the Western Wayne Athletic Conference with a 9-1 league record. “I am so proud of our guys” said Head Coach Craig Cotter. “It has been a long time coming and our guys deserve it” said Cotter
Senior Kam MacIver got the win with a shutout giving up only 1 hit, and walk, striking out 6. It was Senior Night, so Clarenceville went with an entire senior Line up. MacIver, Justin Kelley, Austin Portwood, Nick Schiffman, Bobby Jaber, Matt Drain, David Means, Chase Carter, and Max Woodcock. Not appearing due to injury was Zack Richards. Drain and Jaber led the way with 3 hits apiece, chipping in with 2 hits were Kelley, Schiffman and Woodcock. Also getting hits were Portwood and Carter. The Trojans go to 12-8 on the season. Next up Westland Lutheran a 4:30 home game on Tuesday May 23.
