CLARENCEVILLE THUMPS DETROIT MUMFORD 15-0. Clarenceville wasted no time in the MHSAA district semifinal hosted by Clarenceville High School, scoring 5 runs in the 1st, 6 in the 2nd and 4 in the 3rd to win in a Mercy. Senior Bobby Jaber pitched two No hit shut out innings and Senior Zack Richards came in and threw a scoreless 3rd innning. Jaber also led the way offensively getting 2 doubles, 3 RBI’s and scoring twice. Other Trojans getting multiple hits were Justin Kelley, Kam MacIver, and Tavian Cruz. “We did what we needed to do to win this game today” Said Head Coach Craig Cotter, who is headed to the district finals for the 2nd time in his 4 years at Clarenceville. “We saved arms, and were able to get everyone on the team in the game” The Trojans are 13-11 overall and are headed to the District Final on Saturday June 3rd against crosstown rival Redford Union.
