Game Recap

The Trojans lost a heart-breaker on Wednesday night to a tough Cass Tech squad 2-1. After a back-and-forth 1st half, Jesus Gonzalez put the Trojans on the board with a goal from 20+ yards out with 3 minutes left in the half, made possible by a strong play and assist from Zach Elagamy. In the 2nd half, the Trojans gave up the tying goal on a defensive lapse which led to a goal by Alcides Laceres. And 12 minutes later, they fell behind 2-1 on a penalty kick from Souleymane Traore, and that would be the final score. Brett Habkirk played well in net, and strong games were put in by Jacob Weiss and Dean Harrington.

The Trojans play their final regular season game tonight at home vs Cabrini. It’s Senior Night, so come cheer on the seniors for 1 last home game.
