Game Recap

TROJANS STYMIE THE CHARGERS IN LEAGUE OPENER. Junior Nick Bisaro went 5 innings, gave up only 2 hits as Clarenceville opened up WWAC league play with a 2 to 0 win over Dearborn Heights Crestwood. Bisaro also led the Trojans offensively going 2 for 2 with a walk and a triple, he also scored both Trojan runs. “Nick had a great day on the mound and the plate” said head coach Craig Cotter. “He just loves to compete” said Cotter. Senior Justin Kelley also had a good day at the plate going 2 for 3 with both Clarenceville RBI’s. “Justin is seeing the ball well, and has cut down on his strike outs, and hitting the ball very hard for the most part all season” said Cotter. The other Trojan hit was collected by DeMond Scrutchions. “Crestwood got us twice last year in very close games, nice to get a win to start league play” said Cotter. The Trojans are 2-3 over all and 1-0 in the league. “We played well defensively and made all the routine plays” Nick Snage who has taken over in centerfield the last couple of games made a fantastic running catch on a ball that was hit in the right center gap to end the 4th inning. “We can still get better” said Cotter ” but we are headed in the right direction”. Next up for the Trojans is a Double Header Saturday, April 22 at 11:00 am at Southfield Christian
