Game Recap

TROJANS PLOW TRACTORS 16 TO 0. It took Clarenceville until the 4th inning to score, but once they broke through, they scored 4 in the 4th, 3 in the 5th and 9 in the 6th. “We just could not get it going the first couple of innings” commented Head Coach Craig Cotter “We struck out 6 times in the first 3 innings and when we did get on base we ran the bases poorly” said Cotter. Sophomore Nick Snage led the 12 hit Trojan attack going 4 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Senior Zack Richards not only played a really nice 3rd base the entire game he went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI’s. Nick Bisaro chipped in with 2 hits as did Matt Drain. Also getting hits were Freshman Tavian Cruz with a triple, Kam MacIver with a big RBI single. On the mound Senior Bobby Jaber threw 5 scoreless innings only giving up 2 hits, and walking 1 to get his 2nd win of the year. “Bobby got roughed up his last two outings” said Cotter. “Today’s performance was a nice boost for Bobby’s confidence” MacIver finished the game throwing one scoreless inning. The Trojans are 10-7 overall and 7-1 in the league. Next up for Clarenceville is Redford Thurston on Wednesday 5/17 at Thurston at 4:00pm.
