Lutheran High North
Clarenceville High School
The kick off to the 2017 football season brought back a Clarenceville legend, Tim Shaw, a former Clarenceville Trojan great (2002). There was a moving half-time ceremony and tribute during which Tim, his family, and the Clarenceville community saw Timâs name officially added to the stadium marquee. We are all honored to know that our football stadium will forever be named the Shaw Stadium. The Trojan fans will always be indebted to Tim Shaw for his continued devotion and support of Clarenceville and its football program.
The game between Macomb Lutheran North and Clarenceville began as a back and forth battles between the two defenses. Clarenceville was led most the night on defense by #2 Dion Turner (7 tackles 1 assist), #5 Ty Malone (7 tackles 1 assist), #6 Kyle Nolan (6 tackles 1 assist), and #55 Josh Touchette (5 tackles 1 assist). Lutheran North opened the scoring and added two more scores before half time. After half-time, Clarenceville answered with a big kick return by #6 Kyle Nolan, which set up a drive that finished with a touchdown pass from #4 Terrence Ealy (7/10 87 yards 2 TDs 1 int) to #6 Kyle Nolan (3 catches for 60 yards 2 TDs) for 34 yards. Lutheran answered back shortly after to regain a 3 score lead. Clarenceville again would answer with another touchdown pass from #4 Ealy to #6 Nolan this time for a 20 yard pass and catch score. This would finish the scoring for the Trojans. As time expired the Mustangs of Lutheran North would come out on top with a 42-13 victory. The Trojans look to get back on the winning track Thursday, August 31st at Crestwood.
