||The CMS basketball squads faced off with Norup Middle School for their final game of the 2012-2013 season. The 7th graders were looking for revenge after losing decisively to Norup in their first meeting. The Trojans clamped down on defense in the first period, not allowing any inside scoring for the away team. A first half bucket by Jordan Wutka sent the Trojans to the locker room with a slim 3 point deficit. Both teams committed to stopping the other team's inside scoring in the second half. This led to a large number of trips to the foul line for both teams. The final period saw Clarenceville catch and take the lead from Norup in the final three minutes. Neither team would give an inch, as there were 3 lead changes and 3 ties in the final minutes. As the game ticked down to the final twelve seconds, Norup held the ball for a final shot with the score tied 34-34. However, the Trojans' stifling defense did not open up any clear shots. With one second left the Norup point guard launched up a desperation shot from well behind the three point line. It banked of the glass and in, breaking the hearts of the Trojan Nation. As expected, the Trojan men held their heads high and showed good sportsmanship in an effort that they should be very proud. Devin Dunn led the Trojans in scoring with 12 points. Blake Grice-Brunson followed up with 10, and Parker Graham added 6. Brad Trout, Jordan Wutka, and Josh Wright each put in 2.
