CLARENCEVILLE ADVANCES IN DISTRICTS OVER REDFORD UNION 11-1. The Trojans banged out 10 hits, 11 runs in a 5 inning mercy over their crosstown rival Panthers of Redford Union. “We were very efficient offensively and on the mound” Said Head Coach Craig Cotter. Nick Bisaro gave up only 1 run on 3 hits, giving up no walks and striking out 9 in the 4 innings he pitched for his 7th win of the season. Bisaro also had a triple and double and scored 3 times. Logan Calimazzo closed out the game with a scoreless 5th, and he also banged out 3 hits with 2 RBI’s and scored 2 times. With the scored tied 1-1 in the 3rd and runners on 1st and 2nd Calimazzo singled and scored Zach Topolewski from 2nd to break the tie. After a strike out Nick Snage blasted a 2 out double scoring Bisaro from 2nd, and Zach Jones finished off the scoring in the 3rd with an RBI single to left. The Trojans added 6 more runs in the 4th and finished off their scoring by adding one in the 5th on an RBI single by Calimazzo to walk off the game in a Mercy. “We still have allot of work to do” said Cotter, “but we get to play another game on Saturday and that’s all you can ask for” Other players with hits for the Trojans were Carl Ramsey, and Tavian Cruz. Clarenceville’s record improves to 13-13 as they advance to Saturday’s district Semifinal(June 2nd) vs Warren Fitzgerald at 12:30 @ Clarenceville. Go Trojans.
