TROJANS NEST EAGLES 4-2. Clarenceville wins a thriller over Redford Thurston. The game was less than 90 minutes. Both pitchers for Clarenceville and Thurston went the distance, striking 17 out between them , only walking 1 batter between them. “It was a great game to coach” said Head Coach Craig Cotter. Nick Bisaro went 7 innings giving up 2 runs scattering 6 hits and striking out 9 and walking none and notched his 5th complete game of the year. Both coaches took chances and were aggressive. The Eagles Coach Bob Snell executed a couple of hit and runs, and sent runners from 2nd to home on sharp singles to left. Not to be outdone Trojans Coach Craig Cotter called for a bunt with men on 1st and 3rd with two outs to put the Trojans up 3-2 in the 4th. Josh Touchette put down a great bunt and beat the throw to 1st.” We saw the 3rd basemen playing way back and we rolled the dice trying to catch them by surprise scoring CJ Ramsey from 3rd. The Trojans executed another bunt for an insurance run by Bisaro when Brad Trout got on with a sharp single in the 5th, stole 2nd after multiple pick off attempts at 1st, got to 3rd on a pass ball and beat the throw home on Bisaro’s bunt. Bisaro went 2-3 with a double and RBI. Others chipping with hits were Logan Calimazzo with a hit and an RBI, Touchette with a hit and an RBI and Tavian Cruz with a hit and an RBI. The Trojans improved their record to 8-1 in the league and 10-11 overall. They finish up the 2 game series with Thurston on Wednesday 5/16 at 4pm at Thurston.
