PIONEERS HAND TROJANS 4TH STRAIGHT LOSS. Dearborn led off the 1st inning with a homerun and a well placed 2 out single scoring 2 in the 4th to do just enough to beat Clarenceville 3-0 and keep the Trojans winless in this young season. Both teams played well defensively, and there were only 8 hits between the two teams (Dearborn 5, Clarenceville 3) in the whole game. Pitching was great on both ends. Dearborn giving up 3 hits two of which were infield singles. Clarenceville’s Logan Calimazzo gave up two earned runs 4 hits and only walked 1, and Nick Bisaro pitched 3 scoreless innings only giving up 1 hit and struck out 5. “We lost because of mental mistakes plain and simple” Said Head Coach Craig Cotter. “We did not run out a ground ball that cost us a run in the 3rd and keeping the inning alive, and we should have made two catches in the outfield in the 4th that led to the two additional runs Dearborn scored”, said Cotter. The Trojan offense was led by senior Carl Ramsey who had two hits and Kyle Nolan a bunt single. “Even know we did not come away with the win, it was our best all around performance all year” said Cotter. “We are ahead of the curve compared to last year” The Trojans open up League Play at Dearborn Heights Annapolis on Monday 4/16 at 4:00pm.
