PLYMOUTH CHRISTIAN UPENDS CLARENCEVILLE 5-1. Nothing pretty about this one, the Trojans had a lackluster effort and the final score showed it. “We are struggling right now, have not played well in our last 4 games” Said Head Coach Craig Cotter. “After we were crowned league champs for a 2nd consecutive year, the desire is just not there”. Logan Calimazzo went 4 innings giving up 3 runs and scattered 7 hits took the loss. Nick Shute finished the last two innings giving up 2 runs, only one hit, but hit 3 batters. “Offensively we can’t do anything right now” said Cotter. “We have no plate approach” The Trojans have scored only 4 runs in the last 3 games combined. “I think allot of our guys are pressing” said Cotter. Clarenceville collected only 3 hits, Josh Touchette went 2-3 and Nick Snage went 1-3 with the lone RBI. The Trojans have struck out 39 times in it’s last 5 games, and if that does not change it will be a one and done post season. The Trojans drop to 11-13 overall and play their final regular season game on Thursday 5/24 at home at 4:30 vs Lutheran Westland.
