The Trojans started the game with a 7-0 run in the first few mins of the game. Clarenceville’s first basket was from a great pass to the post from Zach Topolewski to Jay Ealy who drew the contact and knock down a free throw. Clarenceville played well defensively in the first quarter with more than 6 steals. Oakland Christian Lancers were not backing down and turned the game around quickly after a time out and gained momentum by settling down and running their plays. Oakland Christian held the lead going into halftime. The Trojans made some defense adjustments and decided to press the ball and created some turnovers. Clarencville fought back hard in the fourth quarter with electrifying defense and brought the game with in three points with less than 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter. It just wasn’t enough to stop Oakland Christian. The Trojans were led in scoring by Tavian Cruz with 24 points. He was assisted by Zach Topolewski with 8 points. Defensively Jauwan Ward was a key asset to the defensive pressure. Jacob Lately and Jay Ealy were dominant forces in the paint. The Trojans will host Garden City this Friday @7pm.
