In a rainy match to determine 2nd place in the WWAC, in front of an amazing home crowd for Homecoming, Clarenceville battled for 80 minutes and took down Garden City 3-1. The Trojans jumped out to an early lead on an Adrian Hernandez header off an Aaron’s Kluesner corner kick. Later in the 1st half, Jesus Gonzalez snuck a goal under GC’s goalkeeper to jump out to a 2-0 halftime lead.

After the Homecoming festivities at halftime, the 2nd half was a back and forth match. With 8 minutes left, GC’s striker was taken down in the box and Kyle Czarnik capitalized on the PK, making the score 2-1. After a missed PK later in the match, Senior Jesus Gonzalez upper 90’d his 2nd goal of the game to put the match away for the Trojans!

The Trojans finished the regular season 10-6-4 (5-2-1 WWAC) and plays the winner of Clawson/UPrel on Tuesday night at 6:30 at Shaw Stadium.
