The Freshmen volleyball team were shorthanded on Thursday night and were unable to defeat the Eagles of Thurston High School. The team was competitive, but serving struggles continue to plague the team. The first set was a back and forth battle. Ashlyn Kluesner had a strong service game that kept the team within reach. but errors on serve receive was the undoing. The second set was a struggle for the team as the Eagles kept the pressure on with consistent serves. The Trojans were able to win the third set with the entire eligible team contributing. Kamyl Freeman-Holmes had a strong set at the net, and Nylah Bryant helped seal the win with 7 straight serves for points. The team hopes to rebound on Saturday at the Berkley Freshmen Tournament.
