The Lady Trojans came from behind to force tonight’s game against Melvindale High School into overtime. Their hard work and effort got them into overtime but unfortunately fell short. Both teams got into foul trouble and struggled from the free throw line throughout the game. Clarenceville outscored Melvindale in the second half because of great defensive effort and good rebounding. Clarenceville spread out their scoring opportunities tonight with 7 players scoring. Myla Hoskins led the team with 7 points, followed by MacKenzie Aper with 6, Destiny Coleman with 5 including the basket that sent the Trojans into overtime, Kayla Coleman put up 4, Sam Donahue had 3, Alexis Robinson added 2 and Amiri Jackson chipped in 1. The Trojans take on Garden City at home on Friday.
