The Lady Trojans won their first district game tonight against Cornerstone Health & Technology. Clarenceville came together as a team to overcome the obstacles in their way. Sam Donahue opened up scoring for the Lady Trojans early in the first quarter followed by MacKenzie Aper and Kaitlyn Vallimont. Myla Hoskins had a strong second quarter scoring all 10 points for the Lady Trojans. Amiri Jackson and Destiny Coleman chipped in during the 3rd quarter. Kayla Coleman and Kaitlyn Vallimont led the team in rebounding. Penda Diop-Kebe helped the team with her strong defense in the first half. Hoskins finished with 16 points and Aper with 4. Also scoring for the Lady Trojans was Donahue, Vallimont, D.Coleman, Robinson, and Jackson. The Lady Trojans will head into the second round of districts against Detroit Henry Ford on Wednesday at 5:00.
