Clarenceville had their first league game against Oakland Christian Thursday night and dropped in 3 sets. The Trojans started off strong and went point for point with the Lancers before losing ground and fell 18-25. The Trojans were on their toes defensively the whole night, but were unable to get anything going offensively. Clarenceville fought back in the third, but could not overcome a strong Oakland Christian offense. Leading the offense for the Trojans was Tamia Crump with 5 kills followed by Gina Marzolo who contributed 3. Setter Sydney Nardizzi had 11 set assists. Marzolo and Jordan Lay led the defense with 8 digs apiece. Anna Denny was close behind with 7 digs, while Ciera Galvin finished with 6. Destiny Coleman came up big with 2 blocks. The Trojans are looking forward to a competitive league this year and will continue to improve each week.
