On an otherwise dreary, wet Monday afternoon, the Trojan soccer team was anything but dreary, mercying Romulus 8-0 at halftime. Clarenceville played unselfishly the entire game, sharing the ball, moving up and down the field, and finishing with power around the net.
Jesus Gonzalez led the Trojans with 2 goals and 3 assists, Juan Rios had 2 goals, and Dan Cortez, Akil Williamson, and Nick Snage added a goal and an assist each. Dean Harrington scored the remaining goal, with Brendan Mahoney and Jon Sanchez earning assists. Chase Kluesner and Dan Cortez shared the shutout in net.
The Trojan boys (6-3-3, 3-1-1 WWAC) are back at it tomorrow night at Thurston at 7:00. Please come out and support.
